font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>\u26a0\ufe0f Why Is This Vulnerability Important?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">KVM is one of the world&#8217;s most widely used virtualization technologies and powers millions of virtual private servers (VPS), cloud platforms, enterprise virtualization environments, and private cloud infrastructures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Normally, every virtual machine operates independently and cannot access the host system or neighboring virtual machines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Januscape affects the <strong>host virtualization layer<\/strong>, not the guest operating system itself. font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>\ud83d\udda5\ufe0f Were Customer VPS Operating Systems Vulnerable?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This is one of the most common questions customers have asked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The answer is <strong>no<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This vulnerability existed in the <strong>host operating system&#8217;s KVM hypervisor<\/strong>, not inside customer virtual machines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Because the vulnerability was addressed by updating the host kernel, <strong>customers do not need to update or reinstall their VPS specifically for CVE-2026-53359<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Once the virtualization host has been updated and rebooted, the vulnerability is mitigated at the infrastructure level.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;
