From simple web servers to complete applications with databases, caching layers, monitoring tools, and development environments, containers make it possible to package and run applications in a consistent environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Traditionally, managing Docker on a VPS has meant working directly from the command line. For experienced Linux and Docker users, that is not a problem. But for users who prefer a graphical VPS management panel, having to switch between a control panel and an SSH terminal can make everyday container management less convenient.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This is where Virtualizor&#8217;s new Docker Manager becomes interesting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">As part of the Virtualizor 3.2.9 stable release series, Docker Manager was added to the End-User Panel, allowing users to create, start, stop, and remove Docker containers directly through the panel. Virtualizor subsequently added Docker Compose YAML support, allowing multi-container applications to be deployed from a Compose configuration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">At HostNamaste, we wanted to see how this actually works in practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Rather than simply reading the Virtualizor release notes and repeating the feature list, we created a dedicated <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/virtualizorvps.com\/kvm-vps.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>KVM VPS<\/strong><\/a><\/span> testing environment and worked through the Docker workflow ourselves. We started with a simple Nginx container and then moved on to a more realistic WordPress and MySQL deployment using Docker Compose.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The goal was straightforward: <strong>find out what Docker Manager can actually do from the perspective of a VPS user.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>What Is Virtualizor Docker Manager?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Virtualizor Docker Manager brings Docker container management into the Virtualizor End-User Panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Instead of having to perform every basic container operation through commands such as <code>docker run<\/code>, <code>docker stop<\/code>, or <code>docker start<\/code>, users can work with Docker projects and containers from the Virtualizor interface.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The feature is particularly interesting for VPS hosting because it places container management alongside the other functions users already expect from a VPS control panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Virtualizor&#8217;s 3.2.9 Patch 2 introduced Docker Manager to the End-User Panel. According to Virtualizor, users can create, start, stop, and remove Docker containers directly from the panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The feature was then expanded in Patch 3 with <strong>Docker Compose YAML support<\/strong>. This allows users to upload or paste a Compose configuration and deploy applications containing multiple containers from the panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">That second part is especially important.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Running a single Nginx or Redis container is relatively simple. Real applications often require several services working together. WordPress, for example, normally needs both the application itself and a database.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Docker Compose makes it possible to describe those services together, while Docker Manager provides a graphical way to manage the resulting project.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>What Changed With Virtualizor 3.2.9?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.virtualizor.com\/blog\/virtualizor-3-2-9-launched-in-stable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Virtualizor 3.2.9<\/strong><\/a><\/span> was a broader platform release that introduced several features and improvements, including VPC networking and beta bare-metal management. Docker Manager was introduced during the 3.2.9 patch series rather than being the only focus of the release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">For Docker users, the most relevant changes were introduced progressively through the patches.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Docker Manager<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Patch 2 introduced Docker Manager in the End-User Panel. This brought basic Docker container management into the VPS control panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Docker Compose YAML Support<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Patch 3 expanded Docker Manager with Docker Compose YAML support. Users can upload or paste a Compose file and deploy multi-container applications through the panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Docker Migration and Reinstallation Improvements<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Patch 4 addressed Docker-related issues during VPS migration and reinstallation. Virtualizor states that Docker container information is now moved during VM migration, while Docker container records are cleaned up when a Docker-enabled VM is reinstalled.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Multiple-IP Docker Application Fix<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Patch 5 addressed an issue where Docker application links were not being created correctly on VPSs with multiple IP addresses.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Continued Docker Fixes<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The 3.2.9 stable series has continued to receive maintenance updates. For example, Stable Patch 7, released on August 12, 2026, fixed an issue where Docker containers could be deleted after a container update operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">For our testing, this is an important distinction: <strong>Docker Manager is not simply a single feature added once and forgotten. It has continued receiving fixes and improvements throughout the 3.2.9 stable series.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Why Did We Decide to Test It?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">A feature can look impressive in release notes and still behave very differently in a real VPS environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">So instead of treating Docker Manager as a feature checklist, we wanted to test it from the perspective of an actual VPS user.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Our testing focused on a few practical questions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">How easy is it to install Docker through Virtualizor?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Can a user deploy a Docker application without manually running Docker commands?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Can Docker containers be started and stopped from the panel?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Can applications be exposed through VPS ports?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Does Docker Compose work for a multi-container application?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Can WordPress and MySQL run together successfully?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">What happens when a Docker project is stopped and started again?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Does the application remain functional after the containers are restarted?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">To answer these questions, we created a dedicated <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostnamaste.com\/kvm-vps.php\"><strong>HostNamaste KVM VPS<\/strong><\/a><\/span> specifically for testing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We intentionally kept the environment separate from production infrastructure and did not use any customer workload for the experiment.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Our Testing Approach<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We started with a very simple application: <strong>Nginx<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This gave us a controlled way to verify the basic Docker workflow before introducing a database and a more complicated application stack.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">After that initial test succeeded, we moved to <strong>WordPress + MySQL<\/strong> using Docker Compose.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This second test was much more representative of a real-world Docker deployment because it involved multiple containers, container networking, environment variables, persistent volume configuration, and communication between the WordPress application and its database.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The testing environment and screenshots shown in this article are based on our HostNamaste testing process. Infrastructure-specific information such as public server IP addresses and other environment details has been intentionally omitted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The purpose of this article is therefore not to reproduce Virtualizor&#8217;s documentation. It is to document what <strong>we actually tested and observed<\/strong> while working with Docker Manager on a KVM VPS.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Setting Up Our KVM VPS for the Docker Manager Test<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">To test Virtualizor Docker Manager properly, we created a dedicated KVM VPS specifically for this experiment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We used a fresh <strong>Ubuntu 24.04 LTS<\/strong> installation and kept the VPS separate from our production hosting infrastructure. This allowed us to test Docker Manager without affecting any live customer services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The purpose of the test was not to benchmark Docker performance or compare different VPS providers. Instead, we wanted to understand the actual user experience of deploying and managing Docker applications through Virtualizor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Our initial testing environment consisted of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Virtualization:<\/strong> KVM<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Operating System:<\/strong> Ubuntu 24.04 LTS<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Virtualizor:<\/strong> Docker Manager enabled<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Initial test application:<\/strong> Nginx<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Second test application:<\/strong> WordPress + MySQL<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Docker Compose:<\/strong> Used for the multi-container WordPress deployment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We intentionally do not publish the public IP address or other infrastructure-specific details of the test VPS.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Installing Docker Through Virtualizor<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">After creating the VPS, we opened the Virtualizor End-User Panel and navigated to the <strong>Docker<\/strong> section.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Rather than manually installing Docker through SSH, we wanted to test the installation process provided directly by Virtualizor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The Docker section initially displayed an <strong>Install Docker<\/strong> option.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We selected the installation option and allowed Virtualizor to perform the Docker installation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">During the process, Virtualizor displayed a status indicating:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Docker installation is running<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The installation completed successfully.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">After refreshing the Docker section, the interface changed to the Docker management area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This was our first confirmation that Docker had been installed and that the VPS was ready to use with Docker Manager.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Docker Manager Interface<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Once Docker was installed, the Virtualizor Docker section provided several management areas, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Projects<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Create Project<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Images<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Networks<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Registries<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The Images section also showed the standard <strong><code>hello-world<\/code><\/strong> Docker image after the installation process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This was useful as an initial indication that the Docker environment was functioning correctly before we deployed our own application.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Creating Our First Docker Project<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">For the first practical test, we decided not to start with WordPress or another complicated application.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Instead, we selected <strong>Nginx<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Starting with a simple web server gave us a controlled environment where we could test the fundamental Docker Manager functions before moving to a multi-container application.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We created a project named:<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong><code class=\"language-text\">hn-nginx-test\r\n<\/code><\/strong><\/span><\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Virtualizor&#8217;s Docker Manager provided an application selector rather than requiring us to manually enter every Docker image name.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Among the available applications, we found Nginx along with several other commonly used applications and services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We selected <strong>Nginx<\/strong>, and Virtualizor populated the relevant Docker image information for the project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We then deployed the project.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Running Nginx Inside the KVM VPS<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">After the project was created, Virtualizor displayed the Nginx container as running.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The Docker Manager interface provided information about the container, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Container name<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Docker image<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Current status<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">CPU usage<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Memory usage<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Container IP<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Port mapping<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">For our test, the Nginx container was mapped from a VPS port to the container&#8217;s standard HTTP port.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This allowed us to access the Nginx application externally without exposing the container&#8217;s internal Docker network address.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We then opened the mapped test port in a browser.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The standard <strong>Nginx Welcome<\/strong> page appeared successfully.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This confirmed that the complete workflow was functioning:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>KVM VPS \u2192 Virtualizor Docker Manager \u2192 Docker image \u2192 Container \u2192 Port mapping \u2192 Web application<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The important point here is that we didn&#8217;t need to manually create the container from the Docker CLI for this test. The project was created and managed through Virtualizor&#8217;s Docker interface.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Managing the Nginx Container<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Once Nginx was running, we tested the basic container-management controls provided by Docker Manager.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We tested:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Start<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Stop<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Pause<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Resume<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Restart<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The container responded correctly to the operations we tested.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">After stopping the container, the Nginx service became unavailable as expected. Starting the container again brought the service back online.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We also tested the pause and resume functionality and confirmed that the container could be returned to its running state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Finally, we tested restarting the container and confirmed that Nginx became available again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This was an important part of the test because Docker Manager is not only about creating containers. For everyday VPS management, being able to control the lifecycle of a running container directly from the panel is just as important.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Moving From Nginx to a Real Application Stack<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The successful Nginx test gave us confidence to move to something more representative of a real-world deployment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Our next test was <strong>WordPress + MySQL<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Unlike Nginx, WordPress requires a database, which meant we needed more than one container.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This was also the point where Docker Compose became particularly useful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Instead of managing WordPress and its database as completely separate applications, we wanted to define them as a single multi-container project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This allowed us to test one of the most interesting additions to Virtualizor Docker Manager: <strong>Docker Compose YAML support<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Our goal was to deploy:<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong><code class=\"language-text\">WordPress\r\n    \u2502\r\n    \u2514\u2500\u2500 MySQL\r\n<\/code><\/strong><\/span><\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">as a single Virtualizor Docker project and then verify whether the resulting application actually worked.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Creating the WordPress Docker Compose Project<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We created a second Docker project:<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong><code class=\"language-text\">hn-wordpress-test\r\n<\/code><\/strong><\/span><\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">For this project, we used two services:<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Verdana, Geneva; color: #000000;\"><strong>WordPress and MySQL containers successfully deployed through Virtualizor Docker Manager &#8211; HostNamaste<\/strong><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>A Small Compose Configuration Issue During Testing<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Our first Compose deployment did not complete successfully.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Virtualizor returned the following error:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Unknown depends_on target: 0 defined in service: wordpress<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We reviewed the configuration and simplified the <code>depends_on<\/code> portion of the Compose file before submitting it again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The corrected configuration was accepted, and the project was successfully created with both containers running.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This was a useful part of our hands-on testing because it showed that the Docker Compose editor performs validation before deployment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">It also highlighted an important point for anyone using the feature: <strong>Compose syntax and compatibility should be tested with the specific Virtualizor version being used rather than assuming that every Docker Compose feature will behave identically to the standalone Docker Compose CLI.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>WordPress and MySQL Running Together<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">After the corrected configuration was deployed, Virtualizor showed:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>2 RUNNING, 0 STOPPED<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">for the <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><code>hn-wordpress-test<\/code><\/strong><\/span> project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The project contained:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><code>hn-wordpress<\/code><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><code>hn-wordpress-db<\/code><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The WordPress container was exposed through the configured test port, while the MySQL container remained part of the internal Docker application network.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We then opened the WordPress application through the test port.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The standard WordPress installation screen appeared successfully.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This was an important milestone in our testing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">It demonstrated that:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Virtualizor Docker Manager \u2192 Docker Compose \u2192 WordPress container \u2192 MySQL container \u2192 WordPress web interface<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">was working as expected.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Completing the WordPress Installation<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We completed the standard WordPress installation process through the browser.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">WordPress successfully connected to the MySQL container and completed the installation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">After installation, we were able to access the WordPress administration dashboard normally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This confirmed that the two containers were not simply running independently; the WordPress application was successfully communicating with the database service through the Docker network.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">At this point, we had moved from a simple single-container Nginx test to a functional multi-container application running on the KVM VPS.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Stopping and Starting the WordPress Project<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We then tested one of the most important everyday management operations: stopping and starting the entire Docker project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">When we stopped the <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><code>hn-wordpress-test<\/code><\/strong><\/span> project, Virtualizor showed both containers as stopped:<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><code class=\"language-text\">hn-wordpress       STOPPED\r\nhn-wordpress-db    STOPPED\r\n<\/code><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We then started the project again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Virtualizor brought both containers back into the running state:<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><code class=\"language-text\">2 RUNNING, 0 STOPPED\r\n<\/code><\/span><\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We opened the WordPress application again and confirmed that it was working.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The WordPress installation remained available, and we could access the administration area normally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This confirmed that the basic project-level <strong>stop \u2192 start \u2192 recovery<\/strong> workflow worked successfully during our test.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>Restarting the Docker Project<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We also tested the restart operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The WordPress and MySQL containers were restarted through Virtualizor, after which the project returned to its running state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">WordPress remained accessible after the restart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">For a multi-container application, this is an important practical test because users will commonly restart services during maintenance, configuration changes or troubleshooting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Our test showed that the complete WordPress project could be restarted through Docker Manager without having to manually recreate the containers.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Verifying the Docker Deployment in the Browser<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">After confirming that the containers were running correctly inside Virtualizor, we also verified the applications externally through a web browser.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">For the Nginx test, we opened the configured web port and received the standard <strong>\u201cWelcome to nginx!\u201d<\/strong> page. This confirmed that the Nginx container was running and that the configured port mapping was working correctly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">We then tested the WordPress deployment. The WordPress installation page loaded successfully, allowing us to complete the initial WordPress setup.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">After completing the installation, the WordPress site was accessible and displayed the default <strong>\u201cHello world!\u201d<\/strong> post.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">This gave us style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">For this initial hands-on test, however, the core Docker Manager workflow performed successfully.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-section-id=\"1vb4fa6\" data-start=\"297\" data-end=\"353\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\"><strong>What Worked in Our Virtualizor Docker However, for VPS customers who prefer a graphical management environment, having these controls available alongside their normal VPS management functions can make Docker considerably easier to approach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2101\" data-end=\"2229\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">The Docker Manager workflow also provides a useful separation between the VPS itself and the applications running inside Docker.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2231\" data-end=\"2421\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva;\">Instead of treating Docker as something that has to be managed completely independently, users can access their Docker projects from the same environment where they already manage their VPS.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2423\" data-end=\"2503\"><span
